Cuneiform

Ever since ancient cuneiform (wedged shaped forms inscribed onto clay tablets) we have used the immediacy of clay to communicate with each other. Here I wanted to convey how blocked wedged shapes can look like writing across the wall. |A rhythmic movement is set up, further emphasised by the vigorous gestural brushwork.

‘Cuneiform’ : suspended ceramic shapes, measures 150 × 32 × 3 cm
